This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile application UPPSC Prep — GS in 30 Days (package name com.uppscprep.flutter_app, hereafter "the App", "we", or "us") handles information when you use it.
We built the App to be an offline-first study tool. We do not want your data. This policy explains — in plain language — the very limited ways any data ever leaves your device.
The App does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:
We have no user accounts. There is no login, no sign-up, no profile. Your progress data — quiz answers, streaks, day completions, saved bookmarks, notes, reading history, font-size preference, and language toggle — is stored only on your device, inside the App's local Hive database. When you uninstall the App, that data is deleted with it.
The App makes a limited number of network requests that involve third parties. In each case, we describe below what leaves the device and why.
The App uses the google_fonts package to render its typography (Fraunces serif for English, Noto Serif Devanagari for Hindi). On first use, the App requests these font files from Google's Fonts CDN (fonts.gstatic.com). During that request, your device's IP address and user-agent string are visible to Google, as is normal for any HTTPS web request. Fonts are then cached locally; subsequent App launches do not repeat the request.
Google's handling of these requests is governed by Google's own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not send Google any identifiable information about you. We only request font files.
If you choose to purchase the one-time UPPSC Pro unlock (₹149), the purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment information. Google Play tells the App only whether the purchase succeeded or failed, and provides an anonymous purchase token so the App can restore your unlock if you reinstall. Google's handling of your payment data is governed by Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
On release-build launches, the App performs a signature verification to detect whether it has been re-signed by a third party (an anti-tampering check). This uses standard Android platform APIs and does not send any request off-device.
The App does not display ads. There is no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no marketing pixel. We do not use cookies. We do not fingerprint your device.
The following data is written locally by the App and never leaves your device:
To delete this data, uninstall the App.
The App is intended for adults preparing for the UPPSC PCS (Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission) examination, which typically has a minimum age of 21 for candidates. The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
The App requests the following Android permissions:
flutter_local_notifications) — used only to schedule local daily-study-reminder notifications on your device. No notification content ever leaves your device. The App does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location, storage, calendar, or any other sensitive permission.
If we materially change how the App handles data, we will update this policy, revise the "Last updated" date, and — if the change is significant — surface a notice on the App's next launch. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
